Henderer Design + Build + Remodel Wins Regional Chrysalis Award
Henderer Design + Build + Remodel has been named a 2025 Chrysalis Award Regional Winner in the $300K–$500K Interior Remodel category. Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 66 remodeling companies from across the United States were named winners at the 2025 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The entries were judged on the overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.
This award-winning project reimagined a disjointed floor plan into a warm, functional, and cohesive living space tailored to the client’s needs. The original layout featured a cramped entry and an awkward transition through a laundry room before reaching the main living areas. By reconfiguring an underutilized den, the design team created a smaller, private media room, a new hallway with custom-built-in storage, and a relocated laundry room featuring durable, stylish Marmoleum flooring. These changes enabled a more expansive entryway, an enlarged kitchen, and the addition of a walk-in pantry, complete with reeded glass doors, corner pullouts, and organizational inserts for enhanced everyday functionality. Cabinetry throughout the home was designed and built by Henderer Custom Cabinetry, a division of Henderer Design + Build + Remodel. The design features a blend of cream-painted finishes, white oak, and subtle gold accents. Even the range hood includes a hidden lift-up front for easy mechanical access, demonstrating the thoughtful detailing and creative problem-solving this project required.

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best work in sixteen general categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards are open to any professional remodeler and design professional in the United States.
