Asian Flair

Kitchen Remodel

  • The Challenge

The homeowner challenged us to create an Asian-inspired kitchen that was modern and functional and within the constraints of the existing galley layout.
Shoji panels act as a visual barrier while allowing loads of natural light to fill the space.
  • The Cabinets

The combination of light and dark wood tones, alternating heights and pagoda-style crown molding add visual interest and Asian flair to the cabinets.

We applied panels to the refrigerator for a seamless look.

  • The Details

The curved peninsula legs incorporate traditional Asian joinery – just another example of the attention to detail throughout this project!

The backsplash and flooring, a light neutral base to the dark tones, keep the small space feeling very open and bright.

We continued the look and feel into the near-by guest bath. The rich mahogany vanity with ebony legs sets-off the rustic granite sink with wall-mounted faucet; once again mixing contrasting tones and textures!
