The Design Challenge

The original layout placed the kitchen at the very back of the home, where it felt cramped, awkwardly positioned, and disconnected from the rest of the main level. This limited flow made both daily living and entertaining more challenging.

To create a space that felt open, connected, and purposeful, we relocated the kitchen into the former dining room, opened key walls, and rebalanced the floor plan. The result is a thoughtful design that blends the best of open-concept living with the comfort of defined spaces, transforming the kitchen into the natural centerpiece of the home.
The Details

We designed this kitchen with functionality at the forefront, incorporating a variety of cabinetry inserts to maximize organization. From the convenient mixer lift to the custom bread drawer, every element was planned with daily use in mind. This kitchen is completed with thoughtful storage solutions that blend seamlessly into the design, making the space as efficient as it is beautiful.
The Details

Above the island, we designed and crafted a custom soffit that conceals the vent system while doubling as an architectural feature. Finished with integrated uplighting, it creates a soft glow that highlights the clean lines of the kitchen and adds an elevated, modern touch. This bespoke element blends performance with design, turning a practical necessity into a standout detail.

Flush-mounted speakers integrated into the ceiling deliver music and audio throughout the downstairs area, enhancing both daily living and entertaining with ease.

Flat-faced cabinetry fronts showcase the sleek pairing of warm walnut and soft white, striking a perfect balance between modern sophistication and inviting warmth. The design was enhanced with Brazilian black soapstone counters, which offer a matte finish that grounds the design while adding durability and timeless elegance.

This custom paper towel drawer keeps countertops clear and clutter-free, concealing everyday essentials in a sleek, built-in design. It’s a small detail that makes a big impact on maintaining a clean, streamlined kitchen.

This custom bread drawer, featuring a vented cover, provides the perfect storage solution, keeping loaves fresh while reducing countertop clutter. Built seamlessly into the cabinetry, it combines smart function with a streamlined, modern look.

In collaboration with Radiance by Design, this home was thoughtfully illuminated to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere after sunset. The layered lighting design gives the house a beautiful, relaxing glow at night, highlighting the design, architecture, and thoughtful details.
