A Chef’s Dream

Kitchen Remodel

  • The Challenge

The owner is a gourmet cook so functionality and flow was a priority.

The challenge was to modify existing cabinetry, add new cabinetry, and seamlessly blend them into a new configuration and space.

Starting with the space plan, rendered here, allowed the homeowners to envision how it could work.

  • The Design

There was an eat-in kitchen, and separate informal and formal dining. We consolidated the dining areas and opened up the spaces which improved the flow and allowed for an extra large island and pantry.

Being a chef, this huge island gets commercial-type usage. Every cabinet was designed for a specific purpose, including appliance lifts.

  • Design Build Solution

This large pantry not only houses spices and ingredients, but a refrigerator and freezer. Because of this functionality, we were able to use open shelving in the kitchen area for display.

The focal point of this chef’s kitchen is this 48″ professional range and hood surrounded by floating fir shelves.

Client Review

A Greate Design...

"We had a major kitchen/dining room/living room re-design. The team worked extensively with us to come up with a great design that met our needs. The team was extremely capable and talented, and were totally dedicated to delivering a quality project. They were honest and accommodating, and we recommend them to anyone considering a design/build project."
